Wedding ceremony at Yering Station in the Yarra Valley

Yarra Valley Wedding, Yering Station

Yering Station is a favourite ‘must visit’ location for Tanya and I when we have international guests come to Melbourne, so I was very excited to be invited to capture Jess and Antony’s wedding at this winery in the Yarra Valley for their wedding day.

With a very close family on both sides, this Yarra Valley wedding was going to be full of family and friends and I couldn’t wait to document the moments throughout this special day.

In traditional fashion Anthony’s preparations were at the family home, Jess opted for a location closer to the ceremony at Yering Gorge Cottages. The cottages made for a rustic backdrop for her and her sister’s preparations. Looking stunning in here creatively designed dress from One Day Bridal.

Ceremony in the barn at Yering Station…

The only hitch on the day was when the bus caring most of Anthony’s immediate family took a wrong turn and then got bogged, requiring the aid of guest to go and collect them whilst the bride when for an extended drive through the Yarra Valley.

Once everyone was in place, an emotional groom welcomed his bride for warm and loving ceremony in the barn at Yering Station. The ring bearer was their beloved fur baby, Koa, a Newfoundland that tried to be gracious and not too drippily in his duties.

A Yarra Valley Wedding…in the wet

As the wedding was on the first day in September, the first day of Spring, the Winter however was close enough to bring a certain freshness that encouraged all to have the outdoor photos completed very quickly! As the haze and the drizzle started, the brave couple had some beautiful portraits taken

Yering Station, on the inside

As the beautiful wine of Yering Station flowed, so did the reception festivities with great entertainment from Paris by Night the dance floor was full and buzzing.

Between songs and speeches, we whisked the bride and groom away and very quickly, but beautifully, capture these photographs inside the cellar

I’m always grateful to be privy to any wedding celebrations and honoured to be able to capture the day. This day was particular special as Anthony is my first cousin, I wish him, and his incredible wife Jess all the very best for the future adventures.

Hope you enjoy all of these photographs that I’m super proud of.
