Anna and Todd’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of cultures, traditions, and heartfelt moments. Set against the enchanting backdrop for their Rippon Lea Estate wedding, the celebration began with the time-honoured preparations that honoured their heritages.
A Fusion of Cultures in a Tea Ceremony
Anna, who is of Vietnamese heritage, and Todd, who has Polish roots, decided to incorporate cultural traditions into their big day. The morning started with the bride and groom preparing for a traditional Vietnamese wedding tea ceremony. In a touching surprise for Anna, Todd donned a traditional Vietnamese outfit, a gesture that reflected both his respect for her culture and their shared love. The couple also enjoyed the fun and laughter of “door games,” where Todd had to prove his worth before being allowed to see his bride.
Once the games were done, the tea ceremony followed—a meaningful tradition symbolising respect and unity between the two families. Surrounded by their closest loved ones, Anna and Todd shared tea with their elders and enjoyed a family lunch before changing into their western wedding attire.
Church Ceremony and Beach Photos
After the tea ceremony, the couple made their way to a beautiful church in St Kilda for a traditional ceremony. The church’s historic charm added to the day’s elegance as Anna walked down the aisle in her stunning white gown, while Todd awaited her in a classic black tuxedo. Love, laughter, and a few tears filled the air as they exchanged vows.
Following the ceremony, we took the couple to St Kilda beach for some portraits. Despite the windy weather, the beach session was full of fun moments. The natural, candid shots captured their joy and one special image from the beach was later chosen for a gorgeous enlargement.
Rippon Lea Wedding Photos and Reception – Where the Magic Unfolded
Next, we moved to the captivating Rippon Lea for more wedding photos, where the grandeur of the mansion and the beauty of the gardens offered the perfect setting for some of our favourite images from the day. The estate’s timeless elegance, combined with the soft afternoon light, made every shot a masterpiece. Anna and Todd’s connection was undeniable as they explored the estate together, sharing quiet, intimate moments that we were lucky enough to capture.
A Reception Filled with Laughter and Love
The celebration continued into the evening at the estate’s grand reception. The atmosphere was electric as heartfelt speeches brought tears, laughter, and joy. The dance floor was alive with energy, with guests joining the couple in celebrating their love story.
The evening ended on a high note, leaving everyone with unforgettable memories of a perfect day.
